Warragundi Pastoral is a family owned stud and commercial Poll Hereford Beef enterprise located at Currabubula in North Western NSW that also produces summer and winter grain crops.
Warragundi Pastoral achieved four bronze medal awards during 2016 in the Australian Food Awards, Sydney Royal Fine Food Awards and the Sydney Royal Beef Challenge for it's home bred Hereford beef. In 2016 and 2017, Warragundi gained the title for Most Successful Hereford Exhibitors at the Sydney Royal Easter show and in 2018 were the winners of the Grand Champion Hereford Bull, Supreme Hereford Exhibit, Interbreed bull and the prestigious Urquhart Trophy for Supreme Exhibit of the Show at the RAS Hereford feature.
We are an MSA certified producer that have specific focuses in marbling, good fat coverage over the primal areas of the carcase and importantly, strong visual muscling, skin and hair.
As we gather more and more actual carcase data from the MSA Carcase Feedback, we are able to offer bull buyers assurance that Warragundi bulls have had to stand up to some rigorous maternal, growth and carcase assessments.
We are strong believers in getting our cattle out to local and Royal shows as there is no better way to promote the breed. Our recent trips to the Denver Stock show in Colorado confirmed this with a massive display of Hereford cattle. Showing has been minimal due to the unfortunate cancellation of the 2020 Royal Easter show, however, Warragundi will be back stronger than ever at both the 2021 Royal Easter Show and the Beef Expo at Rockhampton. Next year will be an exciting year for us as we will be showing the progeny of Warragundi Minnesota, the 2018 Urqhart Trophy winner.
We welcome you to come and inspect our operation and stock at our property in Currabubula.
